Who doesn’t like to celebrate? **crickets chirping**
Do you hear anything? I sure don’t. See I have not found one person yet that does not like to celebrate and probably won’t!
Celebrations are so much fun because it definitely brings feelings of joy, excitement, bonding, and on and on. You get the picture.
There is one area that in my humble opinion we don’t celebrate enough of….you want to take one guess what I am going to say?
Yes, that’s right money!
Ok, so we do celebrate when we get a promotion, or we get some bonus money, or have a successful launch in business, but we don’t celebrate other money wins that are just as important or even more so.
Money can already be stressful enough and that stress if we let it keeps us in a vicious cycle of scarcity. Staying in that cycle of scarcity really contributes to not getting where we want in our money, nor the abundance we deserve.
Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.– Eckhart Tolle
What if we were to celebrate all our money wins no matter how big or how small they may seem? Doesn’t the thought of it excite you just a little bit? Come on don’t be shy, you know it does :-).
Here is the deal… celebrating these money wins will keep you out of the vicious cycle of scarcity and put you into the beautiful cycle of abundance. THAT is definitely a nice payout right?
So what other money wins can you celebrate? This is just a small list to get your started because really, the sky is the limit:
Being consistent your money plan (ahem, your budget), starting a new savings account for just fun stuff, paying off a credit card, catching yourself saying “we can’t afford this” and changing it to “there is plenty more where that came from”, finding some money in the parking lot, donating some money, …..<<insert your own money wins here>>
I could go on and on, but basically these money wins can be anything directly or indirectly related with your money.
What’s the point in celebrating these money wins? Well, think about how celebrations make you feel….definitely a lot better than when money stresses you out.
Besides feeling happy though, celebrating these money wins can also have other amazing effects:
A boost in confidence, it shows definite progress towards what you are working towards, it keeps you motivated AND it definitely gives you another moment for gratitude.
Gratitude is an opener for locked up blessings.
–Marianne Williamson
Experiencing these amazing effects will definitely contribute to you progressing further with your money goals and towards the abundant life you deserve.
Here is the way that I started celebrating money wins this year (in fact all my wins). I got a nice sized calendar to put on my wall only for my wins. I don’t put appointments or anything else on my celebration calendar. Each time a win occurs (money or other) I write it with my colorful Sharpie on the calendar (ok, ok so I color code the wins–yes, a definite #sharpieOCDalert)
If there is ever a moment of doubt or maybe I had a frustrating day I can reflect on all the wins and accomplishments and from experience I have to tell you, it feels pretty darn good! However, the point is to look at it often and reflect on your awesome wins so make sure you put it somewhere you will be sure to look at it, deal?
What money wins have you had already this month that you need to celebrate? Be sure to share in the comments below so we can celebrate with you.
Abrazos (**hugs**),
Jen, a great reminder about the importance of gratitude and celebrating wins, whether they be big or small. I’ve recently started doing this and I can see the difference it’s making (in so many ways).
How awesome that you not only do this but are seeing the results! Thanks for sharing that Kristy and for stopping by :-).
I had a few small money wins recently Jen. I found a five cent piece and fifty cent piece on the ground! Originally I thought I’d leave them but I took it as a sign that money was coming my way and picked them up. Ever since I picked them up money has been coming to me from unexpected quarters – new clients, new biz opportunities, others paying for lunch. I’m so glad I took the sign and picked them up!!
How awesome and fun! Congrats Helen on the latest news :-). Thanks for commenting and stopping by.
Have you ever read The Magic by Rhonda Byrne? She says that we attract more money into our lives the more we truly appreciate the money we have. So your idea of celebrating these small wins sounds like such a great idea Jen!
I learned a trick from Rhonda that whenever you remove cash from the machine, don’t just grab it and shove it into your wallet. Properly give genuine and heartfelt thanks as you feel it in your hand. I do this every time now and it feels good to appreciate that I am blessed enough to be able to walk up to a wall and make money materialise 🙂
I haven’t read The Magic only The Secret. Love that trick, thanks for sharing Kelly!
I agree that we should celebrate more often whenever money comes into our lives, regardless of whether it is a dollar or a thousand dollars. I am celebrating the fact that our family is blessed with enough money to live comfortably and not worry about whether we have enough to put food on the table.
Thanks so much for your comment Cassie. Love your celebration!
