Money may not be what we should rely on for happiness but we sure have to learn how to deal with it!  It’s also an area that many don’t think to get help in even though there are various professionals to choose from.  Plus the fact that financial literacy is not a common topic being taught in schools doesn’t help matters any.

The following are the common excuses why people don’t think to hire a professional to help:

Excuse #1:  “Why pay money to get help with your money?  If you are in need of money it doesn’t make sense.”  While I see why your point….

If you do what you always did, you will get (fill in the blank) ________________ .”

Answer:  If you do what you always did, you will get what you always got.

A great and classic Albert Einstein quote!

Excuse #2:  “I know what I have to do, it’s not rocket science.  I just planned on doing it later.”  Well, you know what later means, right?  Almost always, never!!

Excuse #3:  “I’m not broke, we are doing fine.”  What does “fine” really mean?  The real question is….are you truly where you want to be financially?  Do you have a good actionable plan to get there?  Or are you just paying the bills and getting by every month?

Yes, I am very passionate about this and it’s a big reason why I do what I do.  I’ve seen too many cases of people who are spinning their wheels and not admitting they need help!

So why should you get help for your finances?  Here are the 4 reasons:

#1  Money isn’t just about the budgeting aspect, it’s also about getting your mind right.  Getting your mindset right is the first step to your financial success.

#2  You’ve tried the experts teachings from books, have had some success but something happened along the way and it stalled.  Don’t get me wrong, these well- known experts have good advice, but they don’t know YOUR particular situation, YOUR aspirations, YOUR needs.  You need someone to listen to you to be able to provide the best & customized advice for you 🙂.

#3  On paper you can see that money is coming in , but you can’t figure out where exactly the money went and why you aren’t getting ahead.  This is definitely a sign you need someone to take a fresh look at your finances.

#4  Time!  You are super busy and time is what’s keeping you from getting your finances organized.  A professional can definitely give you strategies to simplify your money and save you time.

There you have it!  Did you find yourself shaking your head and saying “yep” that’s me?
